Music Business Seminar
There is an event in London that I may try to attend but I don’t know for sure. It may be interesting or it may just be BS. It’s called the Music Business Seminar at the London Music Club. From the site –
“A primer on the music business as it affects those looking to draw more attention to what they create. Speakers and panellists will discuss: – How do I get publicity? – How do I get my band on the bigger stages in London and beyond? – How do I go about making the best recording that I can? – Many other industry subjects. Confirmed to appear are: Bob Segarini (A veteran of both the recording and broadcasting games), Jaimie Vernon (Owner of one of Canada’s most successful record labels, Bullseye), Studio veteran Sebastian Agnello. Joining them will be record producers, concert promoters, booking agents, publicists, journalists, broadcasters and many others who should be able to answer all questions an aspiring musician may have. Free Admission”
Whether I go or not I hope they may talk about something New Media (blogs, podcasting, etc). It could just turn out the be a bunch of industry people talking about how to make it by sucking up to the man but…
