This is my post PodCamp NYC drive home rant. I probably will not get around to adding show notes as I don’t want to listen back to it! Thanks to Jay Moonah, Tara Thompson, Charlotte and Leeza Barnes for the driving company and Jay, Tara and Char for being my NYC Guides and Roomies! I don’t have much video, stupid me I forgot to charge my camera, but I will post some video of the show Jay and Tara did so stay tuned.

  • Thanks for opening up the possibility that many of us felt low after the podcampNYC. I walked around pissed off for two days and I felt like I had to get away from it several times during the show.

I keep thinking that we all have so much to offer in the community. Not just the people who are good at talking about it. Not just the people who are quick to adapt. The good thing is that everybody knows that.

Keep doing what you do. Too bad we didn't meet up at the event.
  • GIV'ER! :-D

Char said it, we're all smart about different things. I was actually thinking earlier that I had learned a lot from YOU this weekend, and just as important had a great time that you were a huge part of.

Oh, and I am glad you came to Time Square because you wanted to.

    Love ya buddy,
    - J.
  • I totally get the pre-thinking thing. I do that a lot too, especially for something I'm really excited about. It can be frustrating. I'm trying to quit it.
Also, you're worried about being obsessive? Did you not hear Tara with the Tod Maffin clip? How do you think I got so involved with Uncle Seth? I'm obsessive too! I think everyone who was at Podcamp is obsessive in some ways. That's what we all have in common. There's nothing wrong with it. It's sweet and I'm positive that Jay and Tara love you for it.
The post-podcamp low sucks. And I think everyone gets that feeling of "oh man, everybody there is SO much smarter than me" cause everybody there is SO smart, they're just smart about different things. A lot of the talk goes over my head. I'm so not techie. But it's great to just be in that environment and absorb all the neat things people have to say.
When I am less busy with exams and moving to Montreal, I'm going to sit down and do a little recap thing. I already have some notes in my little book. You let me know if there's anything I forgot.
You rule Bill. I'm so glad I got to ride down to NYC with you. :) Thanks for everything! I hope you and Michelle had a wonderful day. Kelsey's rules. Hehe.
PS. I love that you ended that with giv'er. You are my hero.
