Blog Day 2007

Wasn’t planning on it but now that I have some free time I’m going to put together a post for this Blog Day thing! I’m going to try and get out of the Podcaster fish bowl and start out with a few bloggers that are local to me here in London.
First up is a great blog that I’ve been reading and interacting with for a little bit now. She is one of the most frequent commenters on this blog and I always find her post thought provoking and inspiring, I just wish I had more time to comment! The site/blogger I am speaking of is Mona from Rebellious Arab Girl. Second, another great read is Written Inc by Carmi Levy always great posts that are also thoughtful, and most often some great photography. To throw in someone who occasionally posts some great tech tips as well as other interesting topics Titus Ferguson who writes A Life Untold. I also find it interesting to follow David Peralty on David Cubed who works for the Bloggy Network and sometimes blogs about his experiences working for the network. For the fifth blog I’d like to jump across the country and recommend The Great White North, a blog that talks about movies and books and life on the west coast. Well thats my five now go have a look at the Technorati tag blogday2007 for other peoples lists!

DeysCast April 5 2007

Last night Titus Ferguson, John Leschinski and David Peralty joined me at Molly Blooms Pub here in London for a geek dinner. We had a great time. I love getting together with like minded people who get it. I think everyone can learn a lot from each other and I hope more people show up to future meetups. I think everyone would agree we should try and make it a monthly thing. One thing I have noticed, coming from the Podcast side of this “New Media” thing, is that there aren’t many podcasters in London but there is a lot of bloggers. I don’t know exactly why this is but that’s what I’ve noticed. Aside from David, who co-hosts on a couple shows (WordPress Podcast and TechCanuk), I was the only real podcaster. I have been trying to move backwards into blogging more, so I think this is really good for me and I hope I can seed some people to start podcasting. Anyways there is a audio file attached which is just some thoughts I had on the way home.
